When
i added the additional parts on the bucket i couldn't export it
anymore, it was saying that there were degenerate faces. To find out
which of the parts was making this problem i had to export them one by
one until i got to the part which is causing the problem, i had to
convert that part to editable poly and delete those faces to be able to
export it.
The
export was successful but as my earlier problem the material wasn't
showing correctly, it was because i didn't put the materials correctly.
This was fixed by using the material option and changing it to crytek
shader and making a .mtl file for the bucket material to appear properly
on crysis. Also changing the uvw mapping to make the texture to scale
and realistic.
making broken buckets
I started doing broken buckets as well, using 3ds max and inventor. Putting dents on the bucket, breaking the other parts, bending the holder, etc. After making the broken bucket i exported them to crysis and added material. i then put it to the environment and added some grass and leaves to help in the crysis environment.
